Starter Guide

Hello,

here you will find all informations needed for you to get a good start in Pokemon Destiny.

But before this all, first read the Rules!!!

1. How to Register?


You will notice that there is a "Join" button in the Menu of the game when you start it.
Please don't let yourself confuse by this button.
This button does not work


In order for you to register you need to follow the link on the forums


You can find this link in the section Latest Releases under the topic Official Destiny Installer

2. Create Your Character!

Step 1
When you start your game insert your Account Datas(Your Password and your Loginname from the Registration) at the top left and Click on the Login button


Step 2
You should be at this window now

Click on New Char to continue

Step 3

At this window you can select your Characters name, your Trainer Type(which also changes your appearance) and select your gender.
After you set your characters settings, Click on Create Character to continue

Step 4

Your Character has already been created now!
All you still need to do is to select Use Char and your Journey in PDO can begin

3. Controls

[Mouse]
Move your mouse to use the Menus and Interfaces to the left of your Game Window.

You can also interact with other people by doing a Right-Click on them

After that you can select to:
Trade: Trade Items with this Person
PokeTrade: Trade Pokemon with this Person
Recruit in Guild: Recruit this person into your Guild
Trainercard: Gives you detailed information about this Player
Invite to Party: Invites this person to battle together with you(Not working yet)
Challenge: Lets you battle this person in a Duel

Use the Arrow keys to move your Character


Use Ctrl/Strg to interact with NPCs.
NPCs are Non-Player-Characters, so all people that are no real human players.
Ctrl and Strg are the same button.
Depending on your country you have one of those.


With Enter you can read Signs and pick up Items

Page down reloads/refreshes yous map

Use F4 to create a own Guild.

Use F5 to have a look at your Guilds statistics.

4. Where to go?

You will start in your house. Just go down the stairs to continue


Talk to your mother to heal yourself if you should run out of PP or health!
You will get to a Pokemon Center later on, but for now your mother will have to do.


Rosepine is the Starter Village. Go into Professor Oaks lab to get to choose your first pokemon.


Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu!
Whom will you choose?
Just walk in front of the pokeballs to see which pokemon is where.


At some point you will reach your first town with a Pokemon Center and a Pokemon Mart. Those buildings are very important for your journey.

PokeMart

The PokeMart provides you with items. You can buy the items with the money you earn from battles or elsewhere.
Every PokeMart in Pokemon Destiny has a own set of items. And even if you find the same item in a shop as in a other shop, the prices of the item may still differ from shop to shop.
So it's always advisable to have a look in every PokeMart.


Walk in front of the Shop Clerc and you will get into the Shop Menu.
There you will see all the items that you can buy in this shop. Click on the Icon of the item and you will buy the item.

PokeCenter

The PokeCenter heals your pokemons HP and PP.
It also let's you set your spawn point and gives you access to your Pokemon Storage.

Walk in front of Nurse Joy to let her heal your pokemon.


Walk in front of this machine to ask Nurse Joy to save your spawn point.
This will allow you to always respawn in this PokeCenter if all your Pokemon should faint.


Walk on this machine and your Pokemon Storage will open.
To store or withdraw your pokemon, click on a pokemon you want to move and then its color should turn grey.
Now click on a empty slot marked with "?" and your selected Pokemon should move there.


5. Catching Pokemon!

Start a battle with a pokemon.
Once you are inside the Fight, click on the "Bag" button.


Now your bag will open and you can see all the items you have with you.
Select a Pokeball from the bag by clicking on it.
The pokeball will then be thrown at the enemy pokemon automatically.
